There's no catch. There is not — and will not be — a paywall for either clients or practitioners. We built AppointmentFind to help people find the right care faster, and keeping it free and open to everyone is the whole point.

To help cover our running costs we're looking into options like sponsorships, but anything along those lines would only ever be an optional add-on — never something that gets between people and finding, or being found for, care.

There are a few possible reasons:

Each treatment a practitioner offers can carry one or more tags. A tag captures something about the treatment — the style of work (such as swedish), who it's for (such as prenatal), or that the practitioner is taking new clients. Massage registration is a separate registered tag and never determines whether a specialty tag applies.

On the openings page we show the single top-ranking treatment for each practitioner whose tags cover what you searched for. How a practitioner spreads those tags across their treatments is up to them.

Example 1 — two treatments

A massage therapist might split their work into two separate treatments:

A new client searching for a general massage (general + new + registered) is covered by the first treatment, so that's the one we show them. A client looking for prenatal massage matches the second treatment instead.

Example 2 — one treatment

Another therapist folds everything into a single treatment:

Because this one treatment carries all of those tags, it matches both searches — general + new + registered and prenatal + new + registered — so the same treatment is shown to either client.

Tags are an evolving set, not a fixed list. Everyone describes their treatments a little differently, and there are surely modalities we haven't come across yet. If a tag you're looking for is missing, please email us — include an example treatment or two it would apply to — and we'll look at adding it.

Yes, AppointmentFind is completely free for anyone searching for appointments. There's no payment required to search, compare availability, and find a booking link.

Every practitioner has their own distinct approach to treatment. The tags on each treatment are our attempt to make it easier to match a client with a practitioner who's the right fit — based on the practitioner's preferred mode of practice and the needs of the client.

We've recently added the ability to vote on tags as a way to recommend a practitioner to others for a particular service. For example, if you'd recommend a practitioner for someone seeking deep-tissue massage, voting for that tag on their treatment is a good way to highlight and recommend them for it.

It's a new feature, and something we're experimenting with.

Signing in unlocks a few extra features:

• Favorite your preferred practitioners so they're easy to find again.
• Vote on treatment tags to recommend practitioners for specific services.

More account features are coming in the future.

Yes — there's no cost to be listed on AppointmentFind, and there never will be. Being found by people looking for care is the whole idea.

We're open to considering other disciplines. If there's one you'd like to see added, please reach out and let us know.

A geographic point is core to how AppointmentFind works — we use it to determine which practitioners appear within a given search area. For mobile practitioners, a common approach is to set the address to a postal or zip code at the center of your service area.

We only use that point to decide which practitioners are included in results — we don't show clients a map or directions to a specific business location. Any details about where the service actually takes place are handled once we send the client to your booking page.

We support a number of different booking platforms. The easiest way to check is to add your booking site — we'll try to add it automatically and let you know whether it's supported.

If your platform isn't supported yet, please reach out and we'll look into adding it.

For now, the best way to change anything on your listing — your tags, modality summary, which treatment is shown for a service, and so on — is to contact us with the requested change, and we'll take care of it.
