This therapeutic style of massage is based off the clients pressure tolerance from light, medium to firm pressure, but not engaging the deepest muscle layers of the tissue. In many cases, clients that choose Swedish bodywork are looking for either relaxation, emotional healing such as an abuse survivor relearning positive touch, or to destress and increase positive hormones in the body such as dopamine & serotonin levels.
