Overview
AppointmentFind is a directory service that helps people find available appointments with healthcare practitioners. We do not handle bookings or receive the health information you provide when booking. Bookings are completed on the practitioner's third-party booking platform.
You can search AppointmentFind without an account. Optional accounts let you save practitioners, vote on treatment tags, and manage a business listing when authorized. This policy explains the data we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Practitioner and Business Information We Display
We collect and display information about healthcare practitioners and businesses that is primarily available on public websites and booking platforms such as JaneApp, Noterro, ClinicSense, GoRendezvous, and MassageBook. This can include:
- Practitioner names, professional titles, biographies, and profile photos
- Business names, addresses, contact details, and websites
- Treatment names, descriptions, tags, prices, and durations
- Appointment availability and booking links
- Information supplied or corrected by an authorized business owner
Some summaries and classifications are generated or assisted by automated systems. We provide reporting and removal options so practitioners and businesses can request corrections.
Information We Collect from Visitors
- Usage and device data: Pages viewed, links and buttons used, referring pages, browser and device details, operating system, approximate location, IP address, and performance or error information.
- Analytics identifiers: Cookies and pseudonymous session or device identifiers used by Google Analytics, PostHog, and our own outbound-link tracking.
- Location data:We may use an approximate location derived from your IP address to show nearby cities. If you choose "Near me" or move the map, your browser provides or creates a more precise search location. The last map area is saved in your browser and sent to AppointmentFind when needed to perform a nearby search. Location parameters may also appear in URLs, analytics, and technical logs.
- Search and display preferences: Map position, radius, selected filters, and interface preferences stored in your browser or cookies.
- Problem reports and messages: The description, affected listing, and optional email address you submit when reporting an issue or contacting us.
- Booking-link activity: The practitioner or treatment link selected, the originating page, selected day or time when present, pseudonymous analytics identifiers, and whether the selected opening later appeared to remain available.
Optional Account Information
Accounts use Google or Facebook sign-in. We receive and store the information needed to identify the account:
- The sign-in provider and its stable account identifier
- Your name and profile picture, when the provider supplies them
- Your email address when supplied by Google; Facebook sign-in does not request it
- The date and time of your most recent sign-in
- Your saved practitioners and treatment-tag votes
- Businesses your account is authorized to manage
- Booking-link activity associated with your account while you are signed in
We use an email address supplied during sign-in to connect an account with a business that lists the same email address. We do not receive or store your Google or Facebook password.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Show nearby practitioners and appointment availability
- Operate sign-in, favorites, tag voting, and business-management features
- Send visitors to the correct third-party booking page
- Measure whether listings and booking links are useful
- Maintain, correct, and improve directory information and classifications
- Understand site usage, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect the service
- Respond to questions, correction requests, and removal requests
Cookies and Browser Storage
AppointmentFind and its service providers use cookies and browser storage for:
- Account sessions: A secure, HTTP-only session cookie keeps an optional account signed in for up to 30 days.
- Preferences: Cookies and local storage remember map settings, location, filters, theme, and other interface choices.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and PostHog use cookies or similar identifiers to measure usage and sessions.
- Sign-in and security: Google, Facebook, Cloudflare, and other infrastructure providers may set or read cookies needed to provide their services.
You can clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser. Doing so may sign you out, reset preferences, or prevent some features from working.
Third-Party Services
We use service providers that process data under their own privacy terms, including:
- Google: Google Analytics and optional Google sign-in
- Meta: Optional Facebook sign-in and Facebook platform features
- PostHog: Product analytics, session measurement, and surveys
- Cloudflare and hosting providers: Site delivery, security, logs, and approximate IP-based location
- Booking platforms: The external service used to complete a booking after you follow a booking link
We do not control the information you provide after leaving AppointmentFind. Review the destination service's privacy policy before completing a booking or using a third-party sign-in service. Data may be processed in countries where these providers operate.
When We Share Information
We may share information:
- With service providers that operate, secure, analyze, or host AppointmentFind
- At your direction, such as when you choose a sign-in or booking provider
- When required by law or necessary to protect users, the public, or our service
- As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the service
We do not sell personal information.
Data Retention
- Practitioner and business information is retained while the listing remains part of the directory or until a valid removal request is processed.
- Account information is retained until you delete the account or ask us to delete it.
- Problem reports, operational logs, and outbound-link records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to maintain accuracy, security, and service performance.
- Analytics information is retained according to our settings and the policies of Google Analytics and PostHog.
Deleting an account removes its profile, favorites, treatment-tag votes, and business ownership links. Historical analytics and booking-link records may remain in aggregated, de-identified, or pseudonymous form where reasonably necessary for reporting, security, or system integrity.
Account and Listing Deletion
You can permanently delete a signed-in account from the account page. Signing in again later creates a new account. You may also email us if you need help with an account-data request.
If you are a practitioner or business owner listed on AppointmentFind, you may request correction or removal by emailing [email protected] with the name or booking link of the practice. After validating the request, we will remove the relevant listing information and exclude it from future collection. We aim to process listing-removal requests within 10 business days.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect stored information. Account sessions use signed, HTTP-only cookies, and access to private administration tools is restricted. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also withdraw browser location permission, clear browser storage, block analytics cookies through your browser settings, delete your account, or request removal of a practitioner listing.
To make a request, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity or authority over a listing before completing it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as AppointmentFind changes. The revision date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated through the site when appropriate.
