Massage Therapy
The most widely recognized and commonly used category of massage is Swedish massage. This type is based on variety of movements, involving pressure, friction, vibration and rotation. It is performed to energize the body and improve overall health. Massage can stimulate and relax the body and the mind. The skin, blood and lymphatic systems are stimulated, which boost circulation, aids cellular renewal and removes toxic wastes. As tense muscles relax, stiff joints loosen and nerves are soothed, an allover feeling of relaxation and well-being comes about.
- Deep tissue work for muscle and connective tissue.
- Slower, firmer strokes for deeper soft tissue layers.
- Manual therapy to support injury-related muscle recovery.
- Targeted treatment for pain and tissue tension relief.

Lymphatic Drainage
Incorporated in a 60 minutes massage, manual lymphatic drainage is a technique used to gently work and stimulate the lymphatic system, to assist in reduction of localized swelling. The lymphatic system is a network of slow moving vessels in the body that carries cellular waste toward the liver, to be filtered and removed. Lymph also carries lymphocytes and other immune system agents. Use light stokes to move excess lymph and fluid (edema) out of the tissues and back into the lymphatic vessels. MLD techniques are also useful in reducing the formation of scar tissue. Hydrotherapy is also blended-in during the session.
