Acupuncture
This treatment is for patients that only want acupuncture/dry needling work and no other treatment. Acupuncture is based on the idea that health is achieved when the flow of qi, or vital energy, is balanced. Imbalances in qi are thought to be caused by lifestyle factors like diet, stress, and injury, and can lead to physical and emotional symptoms. Acupuncture is believed to restore the flow of qi and help the body heal itself. Dry needling is a treatment that healthcare providers use for pain and movement issues associated with myofascial trigger points. With this technique, a provider inserts thin needles into or near your trigger points. The needles stimulate your muscles, which causes them to contract or twitch. This helps relieve pain and improve your range of motion.
