Price does not include HST. Temporomandibular joint dysfunction or TMJD refers to a group of conditions that cause pain and stiffness in the jaw joint and surrounding muscles. This dysfunction is commonly caused by tooth grinding, jaw clenching, arthritis, or injury to the joint itself. Jaw pain, headache. neck tension, and clicking or popping of the joint are common symptoms. I hold certification in TMJ massage through an intensive TMJ mastery course that is facilitated by John Corry, RMT, a leader in the field. TMJD massage includes assessment and treatment of the muscles of mastication (chewing) and joint. Extra-oral as well as intra-oral (inside the mouth) techniques are used.
