Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. Typically works well for those with swelling or with chronic illness, as well as people who are recently post-op (with clearance from their doctor). This style is very slow in pace, so if you'd like to work on all areas of the body then a 75 minute session minimum is recommended.
