Massage Therapy
At a therapeutic massage session, you can expect a personalized, hands-on treatment focused on relieving muscle tension, reducing pain, and promoting relaxation. Your therapist will begin with a brief consultation to understand your needs and any areas of concern. During the session, a combination of techniques—such as deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and relaxation methods—may be used based on your comfort and goals. Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, hands-on technique designed to support the body's lymphatic system. By using light, rhythmic movements, it helps stimulate the flow of lymph fluid, which can reduce swelling, remove toxins, and support the immune system. MLD is often used to manage conditions like lymphedema, boost healing after surgery, and promote overall wellness. Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) is a specialized treatment used to manage lymphedema and other conditions involving chronic swelling. It combines several key components: manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, skin care, and exercise. Together, these techniques help reduce swelling, improve lymph flow, prevent infection, and maintain long-term results. CDT is often considered the gold standard for effective lymphedema management. **note: at this time I can only offer MLD even though Im a trained CDT therapist. As a small practice I can not offer supplies needed to do the proper wrapping required for full therapy. I can however refer out as needed.
