Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a gentle massage technique intended to stimulate the lymphatic system, to assist in the reduction of edema (swelling) & encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the muscle tissue back toward the heart. It affects the body’s fluid management, fascia, muscles, joints, viscera, nervous system, regeneration of tissues (e.g. from burns & pre/post-surgical scarring), immune system & so much more.
