Acupuncture
Your first acupuncture session at AcuRehabMed is a calm and comprehensive experience designed to understand your unique health story and begin restoring balance to your system. A Whole-Person Assessment We start with a detailed consultation covering your health history, current concerns, and goals for treatment. We explore patterns in sleep, digestion, stress, energy, and lifestyle to understand how your body, mind, and environment are interacting. Personalized Diagnosis Using traditional Chinese medicine assessment methods — such as observing the tongue, feeling the pulse, and gentle palpation — we identify areas of imbalance in your body’s energy systems (Qi). These insights guide an individualized plan that may include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, herbal medicine, or gentle lifestyle recommendations. The Treatment Experience Once your plan is established, your first acupuncture treatment begins. Very fine, sterile, single-use needles are gently placed at specific points to promote circulation, reduce pain, and support your body’s natural healing response. Most patients find the experience deeply relaxing and restorative — it’s common to feel calm, warm, or even fall asleep during treatment. After Your Session Following your appointment, you may feel refreshed, relaxed, or pleasantly tired. We’ll discuss what to expect after treatment and recommend the best schedule for follow-up sessions to achieve your health goals. At AcuRehabMed, acupuncture is integrated with our expertise in pelvic, lymphatic, oncologic, and trauma-sensitive care — creating a supportive space for healing that honors your entire being.
