Physiotherapy
To participate in the GLA:D Hip & Knee program, individuals must first complete a Physiotherapy Initial Assessment to confirm a diagnosis of hip or knee osteoarthritis (OA). If you already have a diagnosis from your doctor or healthcare provider, great! ; if not, OA can be identified through clinical signs and symptoms during the assessment. This assessment includes a review of medical history, baseline physical testing, and the development of personalized S.M.A.R.T. goals If OA is not present, we will recommend alternative treatments better suited to your needs.
- Manual therapy for joint and soft tissue dysfunction.
- Dysfunctional breathing pattern assessment and rehabilitation.
- Intramuscular stimulation (IMS) / dry needling for muscle pain.
- Exercise-based rehabilitation using Stott Pilates principles.
- Pain relief and movement restoration after injury.
