Lymphatic Drainage

Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph drainage massage (MLD) is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that has a powerful effect on the body. It helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of the swollen limb and improve the activity of the lymph nodes. It also has a very relaxing and calming effect on the nervous system. MLD is often used as a part of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) for conditions such as lymphedema, post-traumatic and post-surgical edema, and palliative care. MLD has several benefits for the body and the mind. Some of the benefits are: - It reduces swelling by stimulating the lymphatic system and helping the fluid to drain from the tissues. - It boosts the immune system by increasing the production and activity of white blood cells that fight infections. - It relieves pain and discomfort by reducing pressure and inflammation in the affected areas. - It promotes relaxation and well-being by having a calming effect on the nervous system and lowering stress hormones. - It improves skin health by enhancing blood circulation and removing toxins and waste products from the skin. MLD can benefit people with various conditions, such as lymphedema, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic venous insufficiency, lipedema, and more.
