Trauma Touch Seattle

Massage

Find safety in touch. Massage is an effective tool in addressing both the physical and physiological effects of the traumatic experience on the body. Massage addresses the physical impacts of trauma by helping to relieve pain, increase circulation, and relax muscle tension. Physiologically, massage also helps minimize the fight or flight stress response by decreasing the stress hormone cortisol and increasing positive hormones like serotonin and dopamine making navigating daily life much easier.

Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage(MLD) is used in my practice specifically to address physiological side effects of trauma. This includes immune and autoimmune diseases such as reoccurring edema(swelling), Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and celiac disease among others. MLD has been shown to decrease symptoms and increase the quality of life of those suffering from immune, autoimmune, and even thyroid disorders
