Initial Evaluation
Pelvic

At the start of every episode of care we will conduct an initial evaluation. This 50-60 min session allows us to dive into your specific concerns that brought you to seek PT services. We will review your previous medical history, the onset and mechanism of the current injury/complaint, and dig deep into your goals/motivation for solving this problem. The physical examination will include movement assessment, range of motion, strength, and motor control so please *dress appropriately*. Please note, some of the special tests and assessments can provoke pain/discomfort as we seek to reproduce your primary complaint and identify the exact tissues that are at the root of the problem. From these findings we will put together a list of impairments, a PT diagnosis, prognosis, and patient education around your condition. An initial home exercise program will be prescribed. Please note, this is only the first step on your road to recovery. These exercises will be progressed over the course of treatment.
