4715 65 St, Camrose, AB, T4V 3M5
Jana was born and raised in Camrose, AB. Her compassionate and empathetic nature led her to envision a career in healthcare of some kind, and Physical Therapy ended up being the perfect fit! She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Biology at Augustana University College, followed by her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. She chose to return to Camrose as a physical therapist to provide care for the people and community that mean so much to her. Outside of work she is passionate about gardening. Spring through fall you will find her in her yard tending to the flowers, with her cats as her faithful assistants. Winter has her cheering loudly for the Edmonton Oilers and caring for her indoor jungle. She also loves to read, sing, and travel with her husband. Jana specializes in the use of dry needling, having been certified in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (GunnIMS) at the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain, Trigger Point Release and Medical Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. With the addition of manual therapy training and individually tailored therapeutic-exercise programs, she strives for her care to be patient-focused, with their goals at the forefront. Lastly, as a fan of lifelong learning, she strives to stay informed about best practices to provide the best possible outcomes.
For first time patients or those who have a new injury/concern. If you do not see a scheduled time that works well for you, please give us a call and we will see what we can do! Our physiotherapist will go through your medical history and conduct a thorough assessment of your current concerns. This will include a subjective conversation as well as physical testing. Your therapist will then discuss their assessment findings and work with you to determine an appropriate treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
