Trifecta Rehab
After graduating with a Bachelors of Human Kinetics, Michael continued on to complete his Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. He has had previous training in a variety of settings, including hospital and private practice. Although Michael treats many different musculoskeletal injuries from motor vehicle accidents and work place injuries, he enjoys working with athletes of all nature and has volunteered with the Richmond Road Runners Lacrosse team as well as the BC Summer Games. He has completed further education in Soft Tissue Release Therapy and Mobilization with Movement certifications and in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) Dry Needling Michael’s personal experience in a variety of sports as well as martial arts allows him to better understand the stresses and injuries participants are exposed to. He believes there is no magic pill to recovery, but rather, the key to a successful rehabilitation is through functional retraining and empowering the patient to become involved in every step of their recovery. As the co-founder of Trifecta Rehab, his embodiment of the three pillars of rehab is evident during any interaction with him. When Michael is not working with clients, he spends his time taking part in recreational sports (tennis, soccer, hockey and martial arts), exercising, and furthering his education in the field. His passion for building up his community is evident in the community outreach initiatives he plans through the clinic. He is a firm believer that your health is your wealth, and encourages you to invest in it as much as he does!
