Dr. Tara graduated with distinction from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She went on to complete four years of extensive study at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she graduated cum laude and with clinic honours in 2015. Dr. Tara also holds certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University Dr. Tara is a family chiropractor with a passion for pre- and post-natal as well as pediatric care. Her approach is evidence-informed, patient-centered and nervous system focused. She employs a variety of techniques including spinal, extremity and cranial adjustments and mobilizations, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release therapy, kinesiotaping, acupuncture, vibration therapy, Dolphin neurostim and exercises to help moms and babies feel their best. Dr. Tara has over a decade of experience in practice and has done additional training in Webster Technique, PIPS technique, infant cranial & spinal adjusting, retained primitive reflexes, infant developmental milestones, scar release therapy and more. Dr. Tara’s interests outside of clinic include fitness, nutrition and all things in the natural health realm, reading, traveling and spending time with her husband, daughter and three kitties.
During this visit the chiropractor will conduct a thorough history and physical exam and provide a diagnosis. If appropriate, treatment will be provided and may include adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, exercise rehab.
