Matthew Graves, R.Ac is a Registered Acupuncturist graduating from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (BTCM) to expand his herbal medicine knowledge and scope of care. His training includes an intensive program at the Traditional Chinese Medicine University of Beijing, where he studied advanced needling and diagnostic techniques, as well as hands-on experience in a long-term care facility working with chronic and complex conditions. Matthew’s clinical interests include pain management , digestive health, nervous system regulation, and emotional well-being. He integrates Five Element Theory and inner needling techniques to create treatments that address both physical symptoms and deeper energetic patterns. He uses different modalities that include needling, cupping, gua sha, and wet cupping. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys foraging, cooking, and crafting herbal-based medicines, practices that strengthen his connection to nature and inform his approach to healing.
