Dr. Jason Potash grew up in Peabody, MA and earned his undergraduate degree from UMass Amherst where he played collegiate rugby. He went on to become a licensed massage therapist before enrolling at New York Chiropractic College where he graduated Cum Laude in 2021. Before joining WIMB he spent 5 years working at Atkinson Family Practice, a multidisciplinary family medicine practice in Amherst and Northampton, where he worked alongside primary care doctors and other specialists, treating patients of all ages with a variety of musculoskeletal issues. From 2024-2026 Dr. Potash served as the official team chiropractor for UMass Amherst’s Division I sports, treating acute injuries for athletes on all teams including hockey, football, baseball, basketball, track and field, lacrosse and rowing. He also works as an adjunct instructor at The Massage School of Hadley where he teaches advanced techniques courses. Jason is an avid learner and holds certifications in Active Release Technique, Integrative Dry Needling, Stecco Fascial Manipulation, McKenzie Diagnosis and Therapy, FAKTR (an instrument based soft tissue technique), Motion Palpation Spine and Lower Extremity Adjusting, and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and Certified Functional Strength Coach. Jason’s reason for becoming a healthcare provider stems from suffering several major injuries throughout his career in sports, including shoulder surgery at age 17 to repair a torn rotator cuff as well as chronic foot pain and knee pain that he has overcome through nonsurgical methods. Having been frustrated with the care he received along the recovery journey, he found his calling to become a provider who listens with an empathetic ear and combines a diverse background and skill set in order to holistically help others heal and thrive as lifelong athletes. When he is not in the office, he enjoys rock climbing, playing baseball as a member of the Medway Reds, weightlifting, trail running, basketball, chess, birding and hanging out with his wife and his cat, Mr. Bujucat.
