Originally from Victoria, Konrad completed his Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. He briefly worked in Edmonton before choosing to settle in Nanaimo and began working at Brickyard Physiotherapy. During his undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria he began working in the Neuroscience Rehabilitation lab, where he conducted research with the team and coauthored publications on head trauma in athletes. While at the University of Alberta he became involved in research and coauthored a paper on measuring surgical outcomes in total knee replacement patients. Konrad lives a very active life and spends his free time training Brazilian jiu jitsu, long distance running, and fishing from his kayak. He has competed extensively in jiu jitsu, previously travelling to Romania to compete. Konrad takes an active approach to treatment when possible. He believes in the importance of empowering his patients to self-manage their injuries with targeted exercise plans. He integrates new research into his practice and is passionate about collaborating with his patients to find long term solutions to their conditions.
