Vlad has followed an interesting journey to now being a qualified Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist. He grew up in Russia and worked as a remedial massage therapist during his time studying medicine. An opportunity took him to Israel where he continued in the medical field by studying optometry. It was in this role he worked for 14 years. He and his family have since moved to Melbourne where Vlad furthered his initial massage training by completing a Diploma of Remedial Massage with RMIT University and then completed his Diploma of Myotherapy, fine tuning his skills in sports, remedial and relaxation massage along with dry-needling. It is this passion for helping others, and his interest in how the body moves and works, that has brought Vladimir back to massage. Through his 20+ years of experience in health and wellbeing, Vlad has always been passionate about tapping into his patients and clients’ needs, and finding the ultimate solution for them. His unique methods of treatment revolve around tracking the cause behind any discomfort or medical issue a client may be experiencing. Vlad is always looking to further his education and has enjoyed helping and ever-growing base of grateful patients. Prior to Vlad’s studies in medicine and health, he was trained as a classical ballet dancer at Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow. This training in movement and form, has strengthened his understanding of the needs of athletic bodies along with how to alleviate aches, pains and general fatigue. Along with his time at Malvern Physio Clinic, Vlad is currently working with Melbourne United Basketball team for the 2019/2020 season. Vlad offers a wide range of therapeutic solutions, including: Remedial massage , sports massage , deep tissue massage , relaxation massage , taping and cupping Vlad is married and has 2 children. Outside his work, he continues to take ballet classes, and enjoying family time.
