My name is Alexandra and I have lived in the Julian area for about 3 years. I graduated from Mueller School of Bodywork in 2008 and I have worked in many bodywork environments, working extensively in chiropractic clinics treating patients suffering injuries from work related incidents and auto collisions. I specialize in deep tissue, stretching, range of motion techniques, cupping and Tui Na. I have worked in spa settings as well and I'm happy to provide relaxing Swedish massages, implementing aromatherapy and heated stone.
Massage
Prenatal massage is a specialized therapeutic treatment tailored to the anatomical and physiological changes of pregnancy. Performed by a trained therapist using appropriate positioning and techniques, this service is designed to alleviate common pregnancy-related discomforts, including low back pain, pelvic and hip tension, muscle fatigue, and edema. Treatment focuses on promoting relaxation, supporting healthy circulation, and reducing muscular strain while maintaining the highest standards of safety and comfort for both parent and baby. Prenatal massage may be beneficial throughout pregnancy when provided with proper assessment and care.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a technique of applying pressure to reflex areas on the hands and feet. The theory of reflexology massage is that the organs, nerves, glands, skeletal and muscular parts of the body are all represented and mapped out to the hands and feet. Working on the reflexes of the hands and feet you can treat/reach the whole body. The practitioner will apply pressure to the feet which stimulates the body’s central nervous system creating improved range of motion, circulation and relaxation. Various hand, thumb and finger techniques are employed throughout a session.
