Dr. Oakley founded the Wellness Centre in 2004. Dr. Oakley is interested in optimizing health and longevity and continually searches for better ways to enhance the health and wellbeing of his patients. This passion is shown in the incorporating of top technologies including the use of PowerPlate, TRX, Digital X-ray, and the PostureRay X-ray analysis system to the facility. To further help those in need to better their health, he will begin personal health coaching and is currently working toward completing his ‘Shotgun to Health’ book series. Dr. Oakley has published many scientific papers and book chapters on various health topics such as posture, Chiropractic Biophysics, scoliosis, diabetes, Vitamin D, ergonomics and biomechanics and has presented these works to prestigious scientific conferences including: the World Federation of Chiropractic, the Association of Chiropractic Colleges, the International Society of Biomechanics, North American Conference on Biomechanics, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. He is advanced certified and is also an instructor for CBP technique, often traveling to teach other chiropractors how to practice the most evidence-based spinal correcting techniques. Dr. Oakley participated in the creation of chiropractic guidelines for both the practice of chiropractic as well as for the use of x-ray for the profession. He is also an avid sports enthusiast, being a goalie for the Innovative hockey team as well as a recreational triathlete. He is also an ‘Ironman,’ completing the Whistler, BC ultimate triathlon in 2014. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Laurentian University, Sudbury, Ontario, a Master’s of Science degree from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa. He interned at Drs. Deed & Shirlene Harrison’s CBP clinic upon graduation in Elko, Nevada.
