Dr. Mateo Marques is a chiropractor dedicated to helping patients move better, build strength, and achieve lasting health. Born and raised in Burlington, Ontario, he earned his Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences in Kinesiology from Ontario Tech University before graduating summa cum laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). With over six years of personal training experience and certification in functional acupuncture, he brings a deep, practical understanding of strength, movement, and evidence-informed care tailored to each individual. His clinical approach is rooted in his background as a competitive athlete. Dr. Mateo spent over 15 years playing elite-level soccer at the provincial national, and collegiate levels. This firsthand experience gives him a deep understanding of the physical and mental demands of peak performance, injury recovery, and rehabilitation. While he loves working with athletes, Dr. Mateo is equally passionate about helping people of all ages and fitness levels. His practice focuses on understanding the factors contributing to pain and dysfunction rather than simply managing symptoms. By combining manual therapy, acupuncture, targeted exercise prescription, and patient education, he empowers his patients to take an active role in their recovery and build long-term physical resilience. Dr. Mateo believes every patient deserves to feel heard, understood, and involved in their care. Through open communication and a collaborative approach, he works alongside his patients to develop personalized, goal-driven treatment plans that support lasting health and meaningful outcomes Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mateo stays active playing soccer and golf, training for HYROX fitness events, and spending time with his family and friends.
