Hi, I’m Emily! My approach to massage therapy is rooted in calming the nervous system with an intent to promote whole-body healing. I work with clients to create a space of calm safety so that the body can do what it inherently knows to do; heal itself. I always enjoy seeing clients connect and become aware of what is being felt during a session, and to gain greater awareness of the sensations their body is holding. Although a painful, tight muscle may be what someone comes in with, it is simply the body telling a story of the ways in which it moves, thinks, breathes, and carries life. My treatments are tailored to the needs and wants of a client, while still being mindful of how the body responds. I enjoy utilizing the different techniques I have learned and applying them in my sessions. I incorporate myofascial release, lymphatic, relaxing, and nervous system soothing techniques to create a therapeutically focused, yet relaxing experience. I also use stretching and joint movement to help unwind tension. I am here to facilitate, and I listen to what each body says. I meet you in the present moment of a treatment, which may look different each time. I am honoured to be trusted with your care.
