Alida, a Portland native, graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2000. Shortly after becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in 2001, she moved to Southern California and obtained her license there in 2002. Alida honed her skills at The Marriott Laguna Cliffs Resort and Spa for over 12 years and worked in a chiropractic office for over 14 years. This diverse experience allowed her to explore both therapeutic and relaxation techniques, giving her a unique perspective and the ability to tailor each session to her clients’ specific needs. In March 2022, Alida returned to Portland. She strives to create a balanced experience for the body, mind, and soul. Her personal experiences with long-term medical issues, both within her family and her own life, have given her a deep understanding of how chronic pain and discomfort can affect mental and emotional well-being. With over 20 years of experience, Alida values the variety of her work, the multiple modalities she has learned and explored, and her commitment to being attuned to herself and each client. She specializes in Swedish/relaxation, deep tissue, myofascial, pregnancy, and sports massage. Additionally, she has studied TuiNa and is currently completing a term in Traditional Thai Massage. In her free time, Alida enjoys hiking, gardening, and decorating her home. She is rediscovering the joys of cooking, reading, writing, music, and living a simple yet full experience.
