Tara became a Certified Athletic Therapist as a way to combine her love of physical activity and passion to help people. The human body is meant to be active. With 25 years of experience treating musculoskeletal injuries for people of all ages and activity levels, Tara’s goal is to safely and effectively treat your injuries and teach you how to get back (or begin) a healthy active lifestyle. Whether that is your sport, work or daily activities, Tara will help you to reach your goals with compassion, knowledge, health and of course fun! The majority of her Athletic Therapy career has been working in multidisciplinary clinics, the Sport Physiotherapy Centre at the Pan Am Clinic, Lifemark, and other private clinics. She also teaches Athletic Therapy skills at her alma mater, the University of Manitoba. The desire to continually find ways to help her patients led Tara back to school to learn more about improving Women’s Health, with a special focus on midlife, menopause and aging. She now has her certification as a Menopause Health Coach. Tara is so excited to bring this knowledge to our midlife women! Whether it is questions about diet, exercise, sleep, joint pain or brain fog, we will work together learning evidence-based lifestyle habits to help you thrive through midlife. When Tara is not working, she spends most of her free time cheering on her four daughters at various sporting events. She enjoys walking, spending time outdoors and hanging out with her plants, family and friends.
