Melanie Pepper is a licensed acupuncturist with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College (AIMC) in Berkeley, California. Her clinical training includes work at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, UC Berkeley Sports Medicine Department, Octagon Community Acupuncture Clinic, and Charlotte Maxwell Clinic for Integrative Cancer Care. Drawing upon her background as an environmental educator, Melanie helps patients incorporate the ecological principles of East Asian Medicine — such as interconnection, balance, and seasonality — to foster health and vitality within the framework of modern Western medicine. Melanie is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care to help patients thrive at every stage of life, and has a special interest in palliative care, addiction recovery, and gender-affirming healthcare.
This is a first-time acupuncture appointment for patients seeking relief from pain, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, asthma/allergies, women’s health conditions (such as fertility support and peri-menopause symptoms). Acupuncture can also be used for several other medical conditions such as supporting immunity and general overall well-being. Some health insurance plans do cover acupuncture treatments. Please discuss with our office to confirm your health insurance plan's specific coverage. An initial acupuncture consult and acupuncture treatment will last about 60-75 mins in length.
