Kara – Founder, Licensed Massage Therapist Born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska, Kara brings over two decades of experience and dedication to the healing arts. After earning her undergraduate degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Texas, she completed her professional massage therapy training at the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City (2003–2004). Her career has taken her from world-class spas like The Broadmoor to clinical settings such as chiropractic offices, ultimately leading her to establish New Seasons Bodywork in 2010. Since then, she has provided personalized, therapeutic care to the Soldotna community through her private practice. Kara specializes in Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy, a technique she began using in 2019 after a sledding accident led her to adapt her approach to bodywork. She received her initial Ashiatsu training in Portland and most recently completed advanced training in the Dominican Republic in 2024. Outside of the treatment room, Kara is a proud mother of three and works alongside her husband—New Seasons Bodywork’s in-house Certified Rolfer and Massage Therapist, Joshua Hawley.
