Shannon graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Brock University before attending the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy to earn her Massage Therapy diploma. In 2023, she earned her Masters of Science, in Rehabilitation Science from McMaster University. Since 2009 she has worked as an RMT in a clinic setting, helping many people with the prevention and recovery of their sports injuries and work related aches and pains. She has also worked at many sporting and corporate events providing post-race massages for runners, at-work massages for company employees and guest speaking at the Running Room. Shannon continues to enhance her clinical skills by taking courses in sports massage, movement optimization, Soft Tissue Release, shoulder assessment and exercise prescription. In addition to working at TRCC, Shannon has been a member of the massage therapy faculty at Humber College since 2016. She teaches first year clinical skills and techniques, as well as third year Therapeutic Exercise. Shannon enjoys watching and playing many sports and that is what led her into the career of massage therapy. She currently plays hockey in the winter and golf and ball hockey in the summer.
