Balancing relief with relaxation, my treatment style feels therapeutic and purposeful, yet works with the nervous system to relieve fatigue and bring a sense of calm to the body and mind. Graduating from OVCMT’s 3000 hour program, I spent my early years as an RMT practicing at a sports and orthopaedic focused physiotherapy clinic. The lively pace, exposure to a broad range of injuries and conditions, and the opportunity to work with some national and pro level athletes, were an ideal foundation for my RMT career before opening Lakeshore in 2008. Now with 15+ rewarding years as an RMT, the same interest in the human body and helping people feel their best that lead me to the profession, still keeps me inspired. I enjoy keeping up to date on the latest science related to manual therapy, pain, and wellbeing, and stay current through meaningful continuing education courses. A special interest in facial and head massage, that was inspired by the relief it brought for my young daughter’s migraine headaches, led me to continue education and training in various types of facial and head massage. I now offer a facial therapy massage treatment that incorporates this therapeutic yet relaxing work, focusing on the often overlooked muscles of the face and head, and bringing in my experience and skills from past courses in IASTM and TMJ massage. I’m passionate about providing massage therapy treatments that are designed to help relieve discomfort, promote health, and act as a recovery tool for both body and mind.
Whether focused on pain-relief and addressing specific concerns, or full body wellness, each massage treatment is centred around your specific needs and goals, combining therapeutic relief with relaxation to ease tension and fatigue in the body and bring a sense of calm to the nervous system.
