Selina is a local Okanagan gal that completed her Bachelors degree at UBC Okanagan with a major in Human Kinetics and minor in Psychology in April 2021. She joined the Vernon Active Health team after working as a kinesiologist and personal trainer in Vancouver for a year. Growing up, Selina has always had a passion for sports and the outdoors. She played soccer and field hockey for many years at a competitive level and enjoys a variety of other activities such as hiking, camping, indoor bouldering, skiing, and more! Selina has experienced a fair share of concussions, pain and hardships from several motor vehicle accidents and sport incidents. She believes that active rehabilitation is essential to recovery and strives to assist people going through similar situations she went through in the past. By practicing a mind-body approach to training; she also understands that motivation, building healthy habits, and goal setting are just as important as improving function, movement and strength.
