Prior to becoming a chiropractor, I trained as a Reflexologist, Reiki Therapist and Yoga teacher, all of which I find ways to incorporate into my practice. It was the study of yoga that peaked my interest in the body, which grew into my interest of chiropractic. I work as a chiropractor now because I love its ideals about what it means to be healthy. The idea that through input to our system we can be more body aware, become more flexible to change, more resilient and we are able to interact with the world from a place of intended actions rather than reactions. My training in a myriad of different techniques provides me with an openness to the workings of the human body. My toolbox includes certifications in Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, and Acupuncture. My training with International Pediatric Chiropractic Association has provided me with a passion and love for prenatal care and care for children of all sizes. I hold a certification in the Webster technique (for breech pregnancies). In 2006, I became a doula (birth support) to further my interest in working with pregnant women and children. It has become such a part of my practice and my life; birth has a way of putting life very quickly into perspective.
