I was brought to the career of massage therapy through a series of my own personal injury, it was in this time of my life I discovered a passion for bodywork. Holistic health has always been a part of my life, massage therapy being a preventative and Holistic approach to care, it was what I was called to. Through training at UARM, and constantly seeking new opportunities to learn, I am expanding my knowledge and skills.
Massage
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
