Dr. Marlene Cummings is an experienced acupuncturist and herbalist who graduated from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2016. In 2024, she completed an advanced doctoral degree (DAOM) in integrated Oriental medicine at Emperor’s College in California. The DAOM program has a physical medicine module that covers orthopedics, sports medicine, acute care, and chronic care. The internal medicine components included reproductive medicine, oncology, immunology, and cardiology. She has practiced at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in League City, Texas. Marlene is originally from Jamaica where she practiced Western medicine as a medical doctor in family medicine. In Marlene’s ideal world, the ultimate health can be best achieved in a system that has a balanced blend of the best of Western medicine practices, integrated with evidence-based holistic health practices. Marlene and her husband Chris have 2 children and a granddaughter. Marlene enjoys travelling, gardening, crafts, and board games.
New Patient Appointment. Lasts between 1.5-2.5 hours. This session is comprised of a health history intake, as well as a full acupuncture session. Late cancellation fee of $75 applies. 24 hours-notice must be given to cancel or change an appointment.
