Dr. Marlene Cummings is an experienced acupuncturist and herbalist who graduated from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2016. In 2024, she completed an advanced doctoral degree (DAOM) in integrated Oriental medicine at Emperor's College in California. The DAOM program has a physical medicine module that covers orthopedics, sports medicine, acute care, and chronic care. The internal medicine components included reproductive medicine, oncology, immunology, and cardiology. She has practiced at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in League City, Texas. Marlene is originally from Jamaica where she practiced Western medicine as a medical doctor in family medicine. In Marlene’s ideal world, the ultimate health can be best achieved in a system that has a balanced blend of the best of Western medicine practices, integrated with evidence-based holistic health practices. Marlene and her husband Chris have 2 children and a granddaughter. Marlene enjoys travelling, gardening, crafts, and board games.

Cupping is an age-old modality meant to loosen tight muscles, increase blood flow to stagnant areas, decrease pain, and rid the body of stress & tension. Cups are applied to affected areas. Patient can expect bruising afterwards, which dissipates in a few days. Late cancellation fee of $35 applies. 24 hours-notice must be given to change or cancel an appointment.
