Sara Halawa Hon.BSc, MPT. Sara obtained her Master of Physical Therapy program at Western University. Her practice centers around using hands-on, evidence-based approaches, combining manual therapy, exercises, and acupuncture to create individualized treatment plans. She has completed Level 1 of the AIM Program offered by the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Her clinical expertise spans working with diverse client populations and ages, from everyday strains to acute sports injuries and chronic conditions. Sara brings comprehensive experience treating a broad range of neurologic and orthopedic conditions. She has earned certifications in concussion management and has worked closely with patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s, stroke and post-concussion syndrome. As a GLA:D certified provider, Sara worked closely with patients managing hip/knee arthritis and recovering from joint replacement surgeries across hospital and outpatient settings. She also has an interest in treating temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ) and running-related injuries. Sara is committed to women’s health and has trained in pelvic floor physiotherapy (Levels 1 to 3), breastfeeding, post-cancer rehabilitation, and osteoporosis treatment through Bonefit Canada. Before studying physiotherapy, Sara graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology & Pharmacology from McMaster and worked in clinical research in obstetrics and gynecology. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, photography, weightlifting, and trying out new recipes. She looks forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey!
Choose this initial visit if you have never seen our physiotherapist., you are addressing a musculoskeletal concern and prefer to have an in person visit. at this time. Our physiotherapist will take a thorough orthopedic health history, assess your posture, breathing pattern, range of motion, muscle strength and functional abilities and perform a physical assessment.. Once she has thoroughly assessed you, she will provide you with her findings and make recommendations/provide a treatment to help with your concerns and discuss a treatment plan.
