Virginia graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, and Bachelor degrees in Biology and Life Sciences. She is passionate about helping people of all ages find ways to stay active despite injury and pain, and believes in empowering her patients with education to discover what their bodies are capable of, both in recovery and performance. While Virginia works with all levels of recreational and competitive athletes, she has a special interest in Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, CrossFit, and badminton athletes. Virginia’s approach to rehab incorporates education, strength and conditioning, manual therapy, and sport-specific approaches to guide patients back to doing what they love. Outside of the clinic, Virginia also serves acutely ill patients at the other end of the health spectrum as a physiotherapist at a local hospital. Prior to physiotherapy, Virginia was an English teacher in South Korea for many years. She enjoys being with family and friends, traveling, eating, and learning languages (she speaks English, Cantonese and Korean). Virginia was previously a competitive badminton player, and now enjoys Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit, running, and being really bad at snowboarding and gymnastics.
