30 Edgewater St, unit 124, Kanata, ON, K2L 1V8
Since 2010 my approach to physiotherapy has evolved and changed. I primarily focus on education and exercise. I truly believe that education is the key to success with any injury or concern. I strive to educate my clients so they can feel empowered and knowledgeable about their bodies. My greatest goal is to provide clients with the tools to manage and recover, with my role more like an advisor or coach along the way. As an active kid growing up, I was always interested in the human body – how it worked, how injuries can happen and how to recover. I grew to love sport and exercise and the benefits that came with them. I understand the passion for movement and want my clients to keep moving in ways that they love. I have worked most of my career in the orthopedic realm of physiotherapy, although I also have extensive experience in acute care medicine and immediate post op care. I understand the ramifications of long hospital stays and complicated medical conditions, including stroke, and geriatric medicine. I have worked with patients immediately post joint replacements and enjoy providing education around any type of post op care. I have a keen interest in encouraging physical activity in the elderly and love providing education around exercise to this population. I have two young boys and have loved showing them the enjoyment of physical activity. We can be found most weekends on a hiking rail, out in a kayak or cycling to parks or coffee shops in our neighborhood.
