Practice style (Philosophy) Steph is a trauma-informed practitioner, meaning she has advanced training in how stress and trauma affect our bodies. This understanding informs all of her assessment and treatments – she takes into account the big picture, as well as the specific injury or discomfort you’re addressing. Her main goal is to get you moving pain free and doing the things you love as soon as possible. Steph is always happy to talk about stress management, pain science, and how you can take your health into your own hands. She is a queer, cis-female settler who is always growing and learning in order to practice from a feminist, body-positive, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, class-conscious approach that is trans, queer and gender non-conforming positive. She is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO). Unique Facts Steph’s passion is teaching people about pain/stress management, nervous system regulation, and consent. She loves to play as much as possible! When she’s not in the clinic, you can find her biking around the city, canoe camping, traveling, hiking, rock climbing, teaching or taking fitness classes, petting dogs, dancing with her friends, or exploring a new form of movement.
