I am very proud to have been born and raised in Bella Coola, BC where I played every sport possible and learned at an early age that I might be a bit injury-prone (my loving wife, also a physiotherapist, has diagnosed me as “sprainy”). Recovery from my many, many ailments led to an early interest in physical therapy and rehabilitation. I have since developed a passion for helping my patients navigate and overcome their fears around movement and achieving their activity goals. I love working with athletes and weekend warriors, kids and older adults and I have a particular interest in persistent pain. I have recently been spent time working and shadowing in other areas of the musculoskeletal world such as the Royal Jubilee Pain Clinic. I also work as a Clinical Skills Assistant for a few courses per year with the UBC Masters of Physiotherapy program satellite site in Victoria. When I am not in the clinic, I can be found baking with my daughter, walking a dog, going for (what some call) a run, or whining about my own basketball, sleeping or parenting injuries.
You'll want to book one of these if it's your first time seeing a Physiotherapist at our clinic, or if this is a new issue that you're dealing with. If this injury is part of an ICBC or WorkSafeBC claim, please be sure to bring your CareCard number (PHN), claim number, and adjuster or lawyer's information along with you.
