Dr. Lauren Congdon is a Chiropractor with a background as a Paramedic and over 15 years of competitive rugby experience at the OUA, USPORT, OCAA, OWL, and Rugby Ontario levels. She holds a BA Honours in Kinesiology from Western University, a Paramedic Diploma from Humber College with A-EMCA certification, and a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and certified in Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST). Dr. Congdon has extensive experience working field-side in medical and rehabilitation roles with teams across the GTA including hockey, soccer, and rugby. She has supported athletes from the GTHL AAA, League1 Ontario Soccer, Rugby Ontario, and Special Olympics. Alongside her therapy work, Dr. Congdon is a dedicated coach. She currently assists with the U16 and U18 junior girls’ program with the Caledon Cavaliers, and has previously coached with the Mississauga Blues, Sheridan College, and NRU Selects. Having sustained multiple injuries—including two ACL tears with surgical reconstructions and a hamstring avulsion—while also managing hypermobility, Dr. Congdon understands firsthand the challenges of rehab and the importance of individualized return-to-sport progressions. These experiences have shaped her appreciation for long-term recovery strategies and the need to tailor care to each athlete’s unique body. Combined with her background in emergency care and sports therapy, this informs her evidence-based, athlete-centered approach to care. Dr. Congdon is passionate about working with athletes, active populations, and special populations, helping them recover, perform, and stay at their best.
