Robyn is a sports medicine and orthopaedic physiotherapist, an educator and a published author, with a special interest in concussion treatment and management. Robyn completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto (2009), after having completed her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences from University of Waterloo (2007). Robyn went on to complete her PhD in Kinesiology, specializing in neuroscience (2017). Robyn uses a variety of treatment techniques to meet the needs of each individual client, including manual and manipulative therapy, acupuncture, cranial sacral therapy and sport taping. She believes in a whole body approach to injury management and will work with you to uncover the cause of your injury and the best path forward with respect to rehabilitation and management. As a former faculty member and current adjunct professor of the University of Waterloo’s Kinesiology and Health Sciences program, Robyn has extensive experience teaching courses on movement assessment, exercise prescription, injury management and motor control. She is dedicated to continuous learning and professional development in her field and enjoys mentoring students at various stages of their education and career. Moreover, Robyn is an active member in the community. She has volunteered her time working at numerous community-sporting events and was the medical trainer for the OHA Junior B Stratford Cullitons for 2 years. Robyn recently moved back to her hometown of Thunder Bay after studying and working in Southern Ontario for almost 20 years. She is excited to be home and offer her services to the hard-working people of Thunder Bay. In her spare time, Robyn enjoys staying active with spinning and hiking outdoors with her dog, Luna.
