Denise Wong completed both her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Master of Science in Physical Therapy at McGill University. Throughout her work and education, Denise has gained experience in treating a variety of conditions such as work, sport, and car accident-related injuries. Furthermore, Denise has experience in postoperative rehabilitation. She utilizes manual therapy, the McKenzie method, the Mulligan concept, therapeutic taping, as well as exercise therapy in her treatments. Denise is also familiar with utilizing a range of modalities, including but not limited to TENS, IFC, and NMES. Denise also works at Vancouver General Hospital and is heavily involved in stroke and neurological rehabilitation. Denise adheres to evidence-based practice as well as a patient-centered approach. She strongly believes in treatments that utilize a combination of education, manual therapy, and exercise to maximize patients’ recovery. She is passionate about empowering patients to take control of their own rehabilitation and facilitate their return to meaningful activities. Denise is an avid rock climber and was previously a member of the national Hong Kong climbing team. She continues to pursue greater heights both on and off the rock. Denise is also fluent in Cantonese.
