Knowing life can be stressful, Selena’s focus is always to create a welcoming and relaxing space for patients to feel at ease. Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Selena worked at desk jobs for 7 years so she understands that discomfort can arise from prolonged occupational posture. Realizing the changes that massage therapy can make and having experienced it herself, she decides to change her career so more people can be helped. She believes massage therapy is a vital component of self-care and plays a key role in the overall well-being. Whether you are a weekend warrior who wants to maintain an optimal level of body functions or an office worker who wants to get through another stressful day pain free, massage therapy is here to help. Selena has worked with various patients treating different conditions at school clinic. She likes to help patients managing their symptoms by utilizing various techniques, including Swedish, Myofascial Release, Active and Passive Stretches, and much more. You can also expect to receive some tips of posture changes and simple exercises at the end of each session. Selena graduated from Vancouver Career College with honor in 2021 and is a member in good standing with College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC) and Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia (RMTBC). With her passion for learning human anatomy and finding new ways to help patients, Selena plans to continue her education to expand the skill set and learn different modalities. In her spare time, Selena likes to go on a hike, working on her Lego project, and spending quality time with family and friends.
