Emily is a highly experienced Physiotherapist who specializes in helping active individuals and athletes recover from injury, move better, and perform at their best. With a strong foundation in sports and performance rehabilitation, she brings both clinical expertise and real-world sideline experience to every athlete she works with. Emily completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta in 2011 and went on to earn her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2013. Before becoming a Physiotherapist, she worked as a Kinesiologist and Strength and Conditioning Coach, giving her a deep understanding of training demands, performance, and return-to-play decision making. She has advanced training in spinal manipulation, functional dry needling, and concussion management, and completed a Master of Clinical Science in Advanced Healthcare Practice with a focus on Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Emily is also a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT) and stays at the forefront of care by actively contributing to clinical research and evidence-based practice. Emily currently serves as the Head Therapist for the Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club and is also the Physiotherapist for the Oakville Rock Sr. A Team. Her experience includes working with Team Canada at the 2024 Box Lacrosse World Championships, the Edmonton Miners Lacrosse Club, and providing sideline care across sports such as lacrosse, basketball, soccer, rugby, and baseball. She also spent eight years working with the Canadian Armed Forces, treating high-performing individuals in physically demanding roles. As both a clinician and published researcher, Emily is passionate about using the latest evidence to guide treatment, but her focus is always on what matters most to athletes: clear answers, practical rehab, and a confident return to sport. Her approach is collaborative, goal-driven, and tailored to each individual’s sport, lifestyle, and performance demands.
