Sophie has competed in a wide variety of athletics including cross country, rugby, track, Crossfit, and powerlifting. She’s competed in national level powerlifting meets, and currently holds a few USAPL Oregon State records. Working as a personal trainer and powerlifting coach, Sophie realized her love for helping others find their strength and rehab from injuries. This led her to enroll in the D.C. program. She earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic and her Masters in Sports Medicine from Western States University here in Portland, OR. Sophie grew up watching her mom lift weights and run marathons. On sick days, her mom would take her to work at an MRI center and show her the scans of different anatomical structures (oh the 90’s). These early experiences ignited her love for fitness and the human body, which she hopes to pass onto her patients. In her free time, Sophie likes eating good food with her wife and their dog, Spike.
**Please note cash rates require an additional $49 sign-up (annual) with ChiroHealth USA.** Your initial visit with Move Better is longer than most clinic intakes. It will be 2 hours. Your exam can include physical therapy exercises, bodywork, and chiropractic manipulation. Not all of these services are required or needed. Treatment will focusing on answering the most important question: "Why do I have pain?" There is a significant amount of education as to why we are doing what we are doing.
