Jennifer is the newest member of the team! After completing her 650-hour certification from Spirit Wellness Institute in 2023, Jennifer started her career in the spa industry which she quickly realized was not for her. While looking for the right fit, Jennifer focused on continuing education programs diving into the Orthopedic and Medical Massage world where she found her passion. What resonated with her most was an approach of therapeutic modalities including Deep Tissue massage with Myofascial Release techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, Cupping Therapy and especially Gua-sha.Jennifer was brought up in a family that valued their health and wellness. She witnessed her parents living active lifestyles incorporating daily stretching and bodywork into their own lives, needles to stay- this is where her inspiration for becoming a massage therapist came from. When Jennifer received her first professional massage as an adult she knew this was the career for her!During her time in massage school she gained a deeper understanding of the mind and body connection. Factors like breath work, body mechanics and movement patterns will influence your bodys kinetic chain. The kinetic chain is the system that describes your bodys joints, muscles, and nerves that work together to create movement. When there is an imbalance somewhere in the body, it creates a ripple effect that can cause stress and pain in other areas. Jennifer strongly believes in the notion that the accumulation of stress, whether it is physical or emotional, gets stored within the body and can cause tension.Jennifer is passionate about learning more about the human body and is looking forward to deepen her knowledge and techniques while working with clients at Massage Therapy of Boston. She recently received her cupping therapy certification and is currently enrolled in a Medical Massage program. Jennifers intention is to provide services for the clients that will align to the clients needs and goals.

Therapeutic Massage offers our clients and practitioners the opportunity to leave the labels out of their session. While working together you will decide what the body needs, whether it's Trigger Point Therapy on the shoulders, deeper pressure on the hamstrings, Myofascial Release at the lower back. This is a great option for people who may not be sure exactly what modality they need, only that they need relief.
