Dr. B.J. Putnam, D.Ac, L.OM, Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM) Dr. B.J. Putnam is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist who values acupuncture and herbal medicine equally in her approach to care. Her herbal practice emphasizes customized formulas that shift as symptoms change and healing progresses, offering truly individualized support. She specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction, complex pain conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders, drawing on advanced training in Zheng Gu Tui Na, pelvic floor acupuncture, and Somatic Functional Therapy to help her patients regain ease and function. From 2014 to 2025, she was a faculty member at the Won Institute for Graduate Studies, where she created curriculum and taught doctorate-level courses in surface anatomy, clinical skills, and observation of acupuncture, while also supervising in the student clinic and advising students. Before becoming an acupuncturist, she taught massage therapy and practiced as a massage therapist for many years, building a strong foundation in hands-on healing. Guided by her own practices of meditation, taiji, and martial arts, Dr. Putnam brings presence, compassion, and deep listening into every treatment. She believes healing begins when people feel truly seen and heard, and she works to create a space where lasting change is possible.
