I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2004. I wanted a career in which I could help others. I prayed for God to show me something in which I would enjoy as well as being able to help others physically and emotionally. For the next month or so, EVERYTIME I was in my car I heard a local massage school advertisement on the radio. SO, I called the school, went on a tour, and was sold. I knew that I was destined to be a massage therapist, it was my calling in life. Since graduating from Tennessee School of Massage I have worked in several spas within the East Tennessee area. However, I wanted to open my own practice to be closer to family. So, with the help of my loving husband of 20 years, we built a beautiful massage practice; Recharge Yourself Massage & Bodywork at our home where I was able to make it my own. I LOVE what I do, and where I am located. Apart from being a wife, I am also a mother to a wonderful son, Aiden. I have a few fur babies as well, Princess (APBT), and Jaxson (American Bully). Some of my other hobbies include: Jeep outings, going to the shooting range, drinking coffee and lattes, cooking, spending time with family and friends and watching movies.
Massage Therapy
Prenatal massage is very similar to Swedish. Pregnancy takes a toll on the mother-to-be body. Extra aches and pains while the body stretches to accommodate for the growing baby. Research has shown massage during pregnancy is very beneficial for a number of common complaints such as fatigue, sciatica, edema, musculoskeletal pain and many others.
Reflexology
In place of the foot massage or in conjuction with a foot massage, the therapist uses hands and /or tools on specific acupressure points of the foot.
