I am Mellisa McWhorter, LMT, and massage therapy is truly a family tradition for me. I am proud to follow in the footsteps of both my grandpa and my mother, who were also Licensed Massage Therapists. My lifelong passion is helping people find relief and wellness through the powerful art of touch. I specialize in therapeutic treatments, guided by the holistic philosophy of Hippocrates, who taught that massage, diet, and exercise are the foundations of health. I approach every session holistically, focusing on both pain relief and preventative care. As a dedicated lifelong learner, I am constantly expanding my knowledge, and I love sharing that expertise to empower you on your personal journey to healing.
The Im in Pain Massage begins with a brief clinical assessment to identify where your pain is coming from and which muscles are involved. The session focuses only on the areas I believe are causing issues and need treatment, using targeted therapeutic work to help reduce discomfort and improve movement. This is a clinical pain relief service, not a full-body or "Relaxation Massage."
